Our quest to develop a “world class” instrument has put us in a position where we question everything about the way the guitar is made today. For instance, the glues used by most (if not close to all) guitar companies to put together multiple piece bodies and necks, are susceptible to moisture and contribute to the wood’s natural tendency to move back and forth, specially during seasonal weather changes and the different climates encountered by the touring musician. The “yellow” glue which lends itself to most woodworking applications, never hardens completely. You can pour a dab of yellow glue on a scrap piece of wood and let it cure for a week or longer and it will never fully harden. You can sink your nail in it and leave a mark. Imagine what that will do to the guitar’s tone when it travels from one piece of wood to another through that particular glue. Part of the instrument’s vibrations are absorbed by the soft glue (do the words “dead notes” and “lack of sustain” mean anything to you?). |

We use the latest innovations in “Space Age” polymers, epoxies and poly glues that can harden to approximately 80% + the hardness of glass and are impervious to moisture and weather changes in order to arrest and eradicate this seemingly overlooked issue. Instead of tone being absorbed, the instruments vibrations are “propelled” from one wood to the other without loss. This yields greater tone and sustain and a better platform for the rest of the instrument’s components to perform their best.
Our hardware is made out of solid brass, steel or aircraft grade aluminum and not out of “left over” pot metal.
The pickups and electronics components are custom made with the finest materials available in order to produce the cleanest, “noise-free” sound reproduction possible.
The finishes we use have satin or ultra high gloss sheen and are resistant to mar, perspiration and wear and tear that most Laquer based finishes cannot withstand. Oil finishes are not used for they lack the protection necessary in everyday situations. |
